According to wikipedia the cathedral of our lady of Strasborg was the world’s tallest building from 1647 to 1874, when it was surpassed by St. Nikolai’s Church, Hamburg. With 142 meters it still is the sixth-tallest church in the world today.
Last weekend we brought Anastasia to France as she is taking part in a student exchange program. It was around the corner of Strasbourg so we strolled the streets there after dropping her off. One of the main attractions in the city is this incredible cathedral. The evening was already setting in but the atmosphere inside the cathedral was still wonderful, very tastefully lit. Thanks to the stabilization in the camera combined with bumping the iso I was able to get a pretty ok shots inside. On the outside I got a feeling we had ended up in Gotham city, that Batman would jump off the roof at anytime. Especially with the bright moon shining in the clear black sky.
